Hiya! Today I'm gonna talk very quickly about a summer playlist I recently created on my Spotify. I can't live without music and I really enjoy making a playlist for every occasion so I obviously had to make one for this summer. I've been listening to the same tunes almost every day (in exception of the days where I just NEED some throwbacks like the old Jonas Brothers)

In this playlist you can find a different vibe in each song but (at least to me) they're all pretty summer-y.

If you wanna listen to it you can have it HERE and if for some reason it doesn't work or you want to check out more of my playlist my user name is: Africa Ouass Franco

I hope you enjoy it! What songs/artists are you listening to at the moment? I'm always up to discover new tunes!

I finally did it! I finally got the balls to dye my hair dark again! Only the people who've been with me for ages has seen me in my darkest (and real) hair days.
Since I did my first blonde highlights in 2015 I've been blond-ish. But I been wanting to do a change for months now but still never got enough nerve to do it, I don't know why. Maybe I was scared to not like myself or others, but now that I got it... I love it!
Honestly, I still need to get used to it, it's been only a day but I feel like I really needed a change and my sister helped me realise that if I want to do it, I should. Why not? What if people don't like it? If I like it, it's enough.
So, what now?
By getting used to it, also comes new hairstyles (I also got a haircut by the way) and taking care of the new colour because I was SO blonde that this colour is gonna come off sooner than later but (at least for now) I regret nothing.
How did I do it?
It was pretty simple actually, my sister bought two dark brunette dyes and she put them on for half an hour. It looks natural as if I had some highlights but that's because of how blonde I was and how irregular my blonde was!
So the moral of this story of mine is: You should do whatever you want to do with your hair, your body or even your life! Because at the end of the day it's YOURS. Who cares about what anyone says? If you want to do it, do it.

Halloween time has already come and because I always end up posting late (even if I have planned and written the post)  I thought about still sharing with you about my nice night in, binge-watching Halloween movies with a friend.

First of all, I bought these table decorations in a store called TEDi, that is just wonderful if you like home decorations, DYI and everything festive! I decored my chest of drawers because I still don't have a table in my room but it worked pretty well. I got plates, glasses, straws, napkins and a spider web thingy to put underneath everything and I'm pretty content with how it looked tbh... You can't really see properly because I'm still quite bad at taking indoor pictures but the cookies where Halloween related (pumpkins, demons and mansions) and they were from LIDL same as the crips that looked like tasty ghosts.

I started this kind of Halloween plan last year, when I decided I didn't want to go out on Halloween for a simple reason:  I don't like partying with people wearing costumes, it scares me. I don't like the fact that people think they can do whatever they want just 'cause they're wearing masks or makeup. So last year, I invited a friend over to watch a movie and eat a lot of junk food and we had a good time, so this year I decided to do the same thing but preparing it in advance.

This time we decided to also make something easy ourselves so looking at Pinterest we found some of this easy appetizers recipes and gave them a go, they might not look that good, but trust me... they were yummy!

These are pizzas that looked like mommies( cheese, tomato and black olives), quesadillas( tortillas, cheese, chicken and different spices), nachos(nachos, cheese, guacamole and chilli with meat) and stuffed eggs( boiled eggs, mayonnaise, tuna and black olives).

We wanted to watch a horror film but we ended watching "Don't Breath" which wasn't scary at all but was very entertaining anyway and we ended up binge watching videos on youtube of a comedian because why not?

How was your Halloween?

My favourite season of the year is here!

Even though sometimes it's still quite hot here, I can smell the crisp air and see the crunchy leaves outside and I'm loving it. It's raining right now and I'm sitting by the window loving the smell of rain and the cold air while I listen to old music and drink a cup of tea, what a cliché I know, but it's perfect.

This season is actually my favourite of the year because it means colder nights and lovely days inside AND outside, 'cause I'm one of those people who like walking around town when it's colder and these are some of my favourite things about autumn:

Spending time outside and in cute cafés

As I just said, I love spending time outside when it's colder and I'm a sucker for a cute café and even though there's not many of them where I live, I love to relax with a warm coffee on my hands and a good friend. Another way I like to enjoy them is by just going there with my laptop and write or study, sometimes the library can be too stressful and at home I just procrastinate, so by going to a café, I am outside but also force myself to do something productive. This takes me to another subject...

Pumpkin spice lattes

I just had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the year and even though it may sound like a lie, I love the taste of it! I still have to try some of the new things in Starbucks and Costa 's menus but I can always count on a nice Pumpkin Spice Latte to keep me warm.

Nice and warm sweaters and makeup tones

There's nothing comfier than a warm sweater or hoodie, at least for me. I love wearing them and seeing outfits that include them. This year I want to try and get warmed toned ones because if you have a look at my wardrobe you'll only see black, grey and white sweaters lol so for this year I'm trying to have at least a couple of coloured ones.

The Smells  and Colours of Autumn

Oh, how much I love my candles! The autumnal ones are so great and cosy! I can't stop looking for the best ones, I would have a lot more candles if they were cheaper tbh... Still, I love the smell of cinnamon apple, pumpkin spice or sandalwood. When you talk about the smell of autumn you don't talk only about candles but also the streets. The main street of where I live smells of cooked chestnuts and sometimes it even smells like chimneys and I love it... there's something about the smell of autumn that I just can't stop loving.

Another thing  I adore about autumn and being outside is the colours of the trees and the leaves on the floor. This season is one of the best seasons clothing-wise because of the warm tones.

Personal achievements

There's a lot of things I wanted to achieve before the end of the year and now I'm finally making
 some of them happening.

I'm finally starting to do some car practices so hopefully, for the end of the year, I'll finally have my car license. I'm already planning exciting things for Halloween and Christmas and MY TRIP TO AMSTERDAM. Oh, I just cannot wait!

What's your favourite thing about autumn? let me know!

It feels like years since I wrote but the last time I posted, was about how fast the year ends and here we are HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Some things changed since my last post folks, I said I wanted to move to London but I'm still in Barcelona because my summer job called me and honestly that saved me and my economy lol. So right now I'm still studying and working, there's no plan in London but I have some plans to travel as much as I can so at least there's that! There's always time for everything, right?

As I said in my last post, I'm one of those people who love a good old list (i even write them on paper lol). This year I'm gonna try to do a lot of new stuff, and change some of the things I always did, so here's another post about my purposes:

1. Healthy LIFESTYLE. I always said I wanted to get healthy because I wanted to lose weight, now what I want is to change my lifestyle. It's not about going on a diet, it's about being always healthy. Obviously, once you're in a good place with yourself, you can eat some junk food, but only from time to time. For me to be there, first I have to be healthy. I already joined a GYM and been eating healthy since the end of the celebrations (Monday).

2. Re-decorate my bedroom. This year (hopefully) it's when my sister finally moves out, it's not that I don't love her (ofc) but the time has come. We've always shared a bedroom, so for me to have a room for myself it's gonna feel kind of weird. Having a room for myself only means one thing: DECORATION, oh boy I love a good home decor. I already planned some things, saw some inspiration on Pinterest (again) and made myself a couple of list of things I have to do and buy.

3. Take care of myself. By taking care I don't only mean of my skin and, as I said before, my body, but I also mean going more to the doctors and dentists. I've always been scared of going to the dentist and that's paying off now. So this year (as weird as this may sound) I HAVE TO go.

4. Travel, A LOT. Ok, maybe a lot will not be possible but hey, anything will do, to be honest. One of the visits I'm already planning in Amsterdam with some friends (hopefully some post will be done about it) but I'm thinking about some other visit, even if it's in my country.

5. Get my car license & a car. I've been in my driving school for two years now, but I made a mistake, I joined the worst one in my town. This year I'm changing to another driving school and this time it's for good. I'm gonna get my car license, promise (to myself) and with that, I have to think about a car I want to buy

6.. Save Money. Even though all of the things I said before costs some money, I also wanna start saving money. First, i'm gonna start saving money for the things in this lists with some DIY jars and saving pots and then, gonna just try to spend less and less by each month that passes.

I'm gonna end the list here, even though I know that if I keep thinking I'm gonna end with a lot more, but these are the important ones, for sure.

Honestly, this year feels weird. It doesn't feel like purposes I make myself to make me feel better but like things, I'm actually willing to do. I'm excited to do everything and get to the path I want.

Babes, take care and do more of what makes you happy.

I can't believe the year is almost ending. Even though this is my favourite time of the year I can't help but feel that time is flying by and I still haven't made half of the things I wanted to do this year.

This year has been the year of realizing a lot of stuff like who my friends actually are, what Io i want to do for the rest of my life (still not sure yet on that one), where I want to be... but still I have so many things to do and think about yet like how do I make my dreams possible.

I am one of those girls that are obsessed with making lists about anything, so to make sure I have clear what do I want to accomplish by the end of this year (so little time) here's my little list for you to see:

1. Eat healthy/take care of myself. So this one is one I always have on my list and even though I have times where I'm doing it I never see to get it stay on me. I always end up messing it up. So by the end of the year, I want to be healthy (lose some weight) and take care of my skin and body. Pinterest is helping me with that because I have pinned a lot of different nice recipes and smoothies that I gonna 100% make soon. You can follow me and/or my little folders here.

2. Move to London. Ok, this one is difficult to make true, I know. I've been trying really hard to find a host family and move as an Aupair first with a friend (she's already there now...) but I don't have any luck with that and even though I'm going to keep trying and wish for the best (wish me luck babes). Anyway, even if I don't find a host family, at least I would like to find a job here and start saving money to then next summer move for sure.

3. Write more + Study more. You may not know this but I'm studying in an online University at the moment (it's my second year) but recently I have been feeling down and with no will to do ANYTHING, I was feeling really good and with a big amount of energy to do everything I want and have to do but they fade away and I don't know why. So writing this (I actually should be studying...) I'm trying to get my energy up again and write more and study more.

4. Read more. This may sound weird but I always loved a good book. Now, I feel like I've been leaving them because of my phone and laptop and I want to get back to them and the cosiness they give me. I will always love a good book with some music and a candle plus I have so many books to read! I recently bought the Richard Castle ones and I only read one of 4, I still have one or two John Green books to read as well and I also have a list of books I want to buy/read. So by the end of this year, I want to read the ones I already have so next year I will be able to buy new ones and read even more.

So this has been some of the "serious things" but I also have some things I want to do this time of the year so I thought "why not share them as well?"

  • Learn some pumpkin related recipes.
  • Learn some festive recipes.
  • Write on my recipes notebook.
  • Go to Barcelona and take some nice autumnal pictures.
  • Learn some festive make-up (mostly eyeshadow) tutorials.
  • Save money but also start to buy Christmas gifts.
  • Watch more of my "movies to see" list.
  • DIY more.
  • Hang out with friends more.
  • Make/buy my "secret Santa" gift early.

Here are some of my lists, as you have seen I have so many lists is starting to get scary haha. What're some of the things you like to do this autumn/end of the year?

So the other day it was the cinema party(where I live) which means the cinema was really cheap. Because of that, I went twice in two days(which it's incredible) and today I wanna write about "The Girl On The Train" film.

I read the book a while ago and I really liked it, I still do. So I went to the cinema and I saw the movie, I have to say, I was really disappointed. Even though the movie was really well made and the actors were amazing, It just wasn't what I the expected.

Starting with the actors, even though they are really good actors and they did It really good, they just weren't like the characters. Emily Blunt as Rachel? The character is described as "a drunk, fat and quite ugly" girl and Emily isn't fat and ugly and they could have used another actress and the film would still be fire! I hate the fact that even though the character is supposed to be fat and ugly, Hollywood can't stand having an actress that looked like that, It's so frustrating!... And what about Edgar Ramírez as Dr Kamal Abdic? Edgar is a really handsome Latin actor (don't get me wrong) and the Dr Kamal Abdic (even for the name you can suppose it) it's supposed to be Asiatic and even in the movie, they say it's North American which is crazy and that leads me to the next thing...

The location. Why did they change the city of London for New York? I get that it hasn't to be exactly like the book but still! why change the city when the actress is British? The name of the town is quite similar but when I heard "Manhattan" I just couldn't believe it. It doesn't make sense to me why would they do that? Maybe I should be more informed, but I still think it was wrong

They did a good job explaining the story  (they are some essential scenes missing, in my opinion) and showing how the book is made but I think that anyone that has seen the movie and hasn't read the book, do it. Read the book and enjoy it. I know it's going to be hard not to picture Emily as Rachel but try and you'll love it.

My favourite scene is the end tho, I loved it in the book and I loved it in the movie also, it's shocking and on point.

IF you haven't seen/read it. Do it, and tell me what you think!

have a nice day!

Hello you! Hope you're having a nice time! I can't believe it's actually the first of December! Time flies and now it's almost christmas and i'm loving it!

As you may know in London Christmas ALWAYS comes early and I feel it's been a while since i write a post so i''m just gonna chat about all the cool things that I did this month.

I'm gonna start talking about the day I MET 2/4 OF THE VAMPS MEMBERS *ok, let's calm down* but yeah, first I went to their Fanfest *were i met some lovely girls too* and then in the same week we went to the BBC Radio 1 to try and meet them. The fact is that a lot of girls were acting stupid and osrry but they were being idiots and i hated that, but Connor and Tristan were so lovely i just can't believe that actually happened:

Another thing is that i went to the Caspar&Joe's Hit The Road premiere and even though that wasn't that good at all because it was full of people and we were standing on a rock trying to see them, it was fun! It was fun because I met there with two super funny girls and we had a lovely lunch in Nando's and i don't know it was cool to finally spend time with someone.

So, i think it's the last thing, it happened this sunday, London is amazing at night and Winter Wonderland it's just another world. I went there with my new friend and it was raining lots and it was really windy but we still had a good time and that same day, in the afternoon, we saw Caspar and Joe on the HMV signing. I went there in the morning and saw a lot of girls making a superlong queue and i didn't know what was happening until i realised they were there and we weren't able to have a sign or even a picture or anything but we saw them leaving the shop and it was really funny. To see all of this, you can go to my new Vlog on my Youtube channel:

And i think this is all.... It seems so small but this is what keeps me happy about being here... London it's a lovely place and i'm sad that i'm leaving it (hopefully temporarly) in 2 weeks...  I need to be home, i miss it a lot and I need to leave this place as soon as possible... the only thing is this little moments, this city, that's what I don't want to lose.

But yeah, I hope you have a nice time, and that your christmas is lovely, i'll try and post before that but just in case.

love, Africa

Hello little pumpkins and welcome to a new post!

Today I wanted to talk about a couple of things that's happening in my life or that I want to do and how i've been helped to do/know, kind of.

I've been trying to figure out what I want to study for a year and even thought I still don't know it like a 100%, I'm starting; There's a lot of things that i want to do and that I want to achieve and I want you to be part of it. I really want this blog to work out.

So, the thing is that a really cool spanish blogger/youtuber once wrote about exactly what I was feeling: "what do I want to do next?" and reading her blog post i started to kind of figure it out and I wanted to share it with you.

She said that you should focus on anything you know that you want, it does't have to be a really serious thing like a job, just something you know that you want, so I thought "okay, the only thing I know is that I want to live in the uk and that I want to be an aupair first" well, in fact what I thought was "I've been trying to find a family for months and all I want is to live in the UK, work on my blog and on my youtube channel" it seems like I knew exactly what to do, but it isn't that easy because I couldn't find a family and time ran out so I joined and agency and now i'm living with a family on the north of London.

So I wrote a list, a list of things I want to achieve and now that I have it, all I'm working on is to be able to cross out all of it. I thought I was crazy for having that list, but after reading Marta's blog post I knew I wasn't alone in the journey that's growing up, loving yourself and being the best version of yourself that you can be.

If you want to check her out, her name is Marta LondParis and she has a youtube channel and a Blog, it's in spanish so if you don't understand it... i'm sorry(?

So I want you to join me, or her, and do the same. If you are feeling lost, or you just don't exactly know what you want, get a pen and a paper and write a list of all the thing you want to achive, it can be small things like "stop bitting my nails" or "stop eating chocolate" or even  big things like "go to college" or "get my car licence" it can be anything really just so you can look at it and think " I can do this. I have to do this" and slowly it will all be alright or at least i hope so.

I can say that I'm able to cross out a couple of things now, can you?

sweet kisses,

xxx.
